The IoT (Internet of Things) Chair aims to develop a better understanding of business and managerial issues related to digital evolution and the development of connected objects.
The IoT is a reality that affects many sectors: automation, cities, health, transportation energy, B2B and B2C. The IoT appears as a crucial component of the digital transition: objects now have the ability to transmit contextual information and be networked to communicate. This new ESCP Chair, under the auspices of the Foundation and with the support of Schneider Electric and Valeo, is born from the desire to support students, businesses and research professors in the investigation and understanding of business and managerial issues related to digital evolution and the development of connected objects.
The IoT Chair is a place for the exchange of best practices, thought on new IoT prospects and the conceptualisation of business cases: the ability to produce and disseminate knowledge on a subject at the forefront of the concerns of companies. In addition to teaching, the IoT Chair is a place for discussion and reflection on the economy of connected objects. An annual conference, the writing of case studies, communication in the press or in conferences, the Best Student Thesis, theses in the ESCP doctoral programme… The activities of the Chair will be many!
