Reunited for a convivial meeting on the Paris Campus of ESCP, the Alumni of the class of 72 have reaffirmed their involvement in favour of the School’s development, and in particular to support its digital transformation. In this sense, they are leading a fundraising campaign, through the ESCP Foundation, that will finance the installation of a multiplex classroom ont the Torino Campus and a digital classroom in Paris.

We are very grateful for their support and generosity.

April 5, 2016, ESCP, under the auspices of the Foundation and E. Leclerc, signed an agreement to create a new Chair dedicated to the theme of the retail industry in society 4.0.

This Chair for teaching and research combines the excellence of ESCP and the experience of E.Leclerc. Its creation reinforced the common desire of partners to develop a deep forward-thinking reflection on the retail distribution of tomorrow.

On Tuesday February 23rd 2016, a new partnership – launching a Professorship on the topic of Events and seminars marketing – has been signed on the ESCP campus of Paris .
This ESCP Professorship, supported by its Foundation, reunits several partners : UNIMEV (Union Française des Métiers de l’Événement), Viparis, Congrès et Expositions de Bordeaux, Eurovet, FG Design and Hopscotch.

The creation of this new Professorship underlines the common goal of the partners to  place the events industry as one of the major economic and social issues.

The Alumni ESCP of Belgium reunited on Tuesday February 9th at the Maison Ernest Solvay around the different representatives of the ESCP community : Frank Bournois, Dean of ESCP, Laurent Sachs, Executive president of ESCP Alumni and Brynhild Dumas, Executive director of the ESCP Foundation. The discussions were focused on the School’s strategy  for the next years and its future autonomy starting in January 2017.

Pascal Juery (86), member of the Executive committee of Solvay and major donor of the Foundation underlines the need to help the School more during this crucial moment for its future.

This  second meeting took place around Arnaud Nourry (82), CEO of Hachette Livre and President , on the topic  on January 18th at Rothschild.

Arnaud Nourry detailed his professional track, from ESCP business school – education that gave him relevant skills to the board of Hachette Livre. Company of Groupe Lagardère, counting 120 brands and publishing more than 20 000 books each year, Hachette Livre is the world number 3 of publishing and makes 10 % profit. Its CEO told about the struggle that opposed him, during the years 2009 and 2010, to Google, Amazon and Apple for the settlement of an efficient economic model for the digital book. This model has been established and shared since. Using his own words, a mix of work, luck and an intense curiosity enabled him to lead this professional career and to improve Hachette Livre leadership in the evolving world of publishing.

The Meetings of the Foundation, a dinner series in small group – 3 meetings per year – around an Alumnus with a stellar record who shares his experience in his field of expertise, represents a priviledged opportunity of networking.

It contributes to the reinforcement of ESCP brand and to the proudness of belonging to our community. The number of places is limited to facilitate the discussions with the speaker.
