The amphitheatre Gélis – a historic place in ESCP – is currently being renovated. It will have a new layout with ergonomic furniture and cutting-edge equipment, thus offering an optimal work environment for the students.
This is part of a larger programme of digitalisation and modernisation of the ESCP’s campuses : digital classrooms and libraries, in-service training online… The goal is to offer a learning environment that matches with the excellence of the School.
The ESCP Foundation takes part in this initiative by giving the opportunity its donors to name a seat of the amphitheater Gélis to thank them for their gift.
For a gift of € 2 500 – spread over one, two or five years – a personal name plate will be placed in the Gélis amphitheatre for 7 years.
The donations will enable the ESCP Foundation to reinforce its actions in favour of the School’s development : financing scholarships, supporting the new digital strategy…
For instance, a €2500 donation enables the Foundation to finance a mobility grant for a student.
Thus, this “special operation” has a dual impact :
>> an opportunity to have one’s name linked with ESCP’s history by occupying a prime place in the School :
>> an opportunity to participate in the school future, by supporting the Foundation’s strategic actions
Note to the good students (used to being ranked first throughout their education) we have reserved them the first three rows of seats. For a gift of € 4 000 to the Foundation, they will return to their places on the benches of the School’s amphitheatre.
The new version of the Gélis amphitheatre will be unveiled in October 2015. Our generous donors will be invited to this ceremony.
April 13th – ESCP Foundation’s dinner at Christie’s
Thanks to Patricia Barbizet (76), the ESCP Foundation reunited some Alumni at Christie’s on April 13th in the presence of Frank Bournois, Dean of ESCP, and Patrick Gounelle, President of the Foundation.
They both presented the actions supported by the Foundation and the future project of the School. The need to increase the involvement of the whole ESCP community – and firstly the Alumni- in sustaining the School’s future has been highlighted.
A few pictures of the dinner.
The Class of 69 supports the Foundation
On 11 March, around thirty Alumni of the Class of 69 met Frank Bournois, Dean of ESCP, at an informal gathering at Claridge’s Hotel, and were welcomed by their former classmate, Senator Claude Nougein.
On the initiative of Jean Rozwadowski, Hervé Descottes and Bernard Hélain, donors of the Foundation started a challenge : to raise a minimum of €250 0000 donations to name one of the new amphitheatres of the School “Class of 69”, with the support of their delegate Bernard Domenget.
Congratulations on this generous new project!
Half-marathon of Paris : the whole ESCP community involved!
70 runners – students, alumni, school staff – gathered on March 8th to carry the colors of the ESCP Foundation for the half marathon of Paris.
Their goal : to raise a maximum of donations to finance scholarships for ESCP’s students.
Mission accomplished : nearly 18 000 € was raised by donors, with the additional support of our sponsors Commerzbank and Adidas.
Started by the Class of 2004, this project has involved the whole ESCP community which shares the same ambition : to make the registration in our school easier for the most talented students regardless of their financial resources and geographical origins.
This initiative is a part of a general and long term approach of ESCP to develop social and geographic diversity through a reinforced scholarship programme.
Congratulations!
