The Innovation Prize rewards student start-ups in the field of EdTech. Co-founded by the Agora student society and the ESCP Foundation in partnership with the Blue Factory, the ESCP incubator, on a yearly basis this award supports innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit of our students from all campuses.
This year there were more than 20 contestants. After a rigorous selection process including a pitching session in front of a jury composed mainly of Alumni, two initiatives drew special attention from the jury members.
Wyblo won the first prize, receiving a €15,000 grant, and StudentFlow won the special prize receiving a €3,000 grant.
Congratulations to all young entrepreneurs!
The ESCP AGORA’s innovation prize is a great opportunity for young start-ups who want to challenge themselves and, most importantly, connect with other colleagues, mentors, potential partners, and investors. This initiative supported us in a crucial phase and now we are discussing the closing of the pre-seed round and commercial partnerships with some of the judges of the competition.
We are thankful that AGORA and the Foundation organized such an event, as it promotes innovation, entrepreneurship and some core values of our school. For us, the Innovation Prize was an opportunity to work harder on our marketing strategy, our business model and our market analysis, among other things. It really boosted our project: thanks to the contest, we strengthened our business plan and launched our first fundraising, which, overall, drastically accelerated our entrepreneurial project.
Regardless of the outcome of the contest, we were determined to pursue this entrepreneurial project. That is why we have now officially completed the incorporation process of StudentFlow SAS, which was also initiated during the Prize, and made possible thanks to ESCP Alumni working with us on the legal field. On that matter, the Innovation Prize made us realize how strong were the ties between alumni of the ESCP Community. Indeed, we asked several Alumni for help along the way, and many answered the call, being happy to help us during the adventure. We are, more than ever, committed to our project and confident that the launch of StudentFlow at ESCP in September will be a complete success.
